Usually we do our Christmas program in small schools in small towns or rural areas.  Those schools don’t have many opportunities to enjoy special programs, so they are very excited to have our Lutheran Hour Ministries Thailand (LHMT) team visit their schools and they enjoy our Christmas program.

But, sometimes we include schools in larger cities in our schedule.  The school we visited on December 17 was one of those.  Anuban Lopburi School is a large school in quite a large city.  We did three presentations for students in grades 3-6; two in the morning and one after lunch.  A total of 1,098 students participated in the two morning sessions and one afternoon session.  The morning schedule was quite tight, because we did two presentations.  We had to make some adjustments to our program, but we were able to include all of the important parts.

The director of Anuban Lopburi school asked that we do our English activity, so the students could practice using English.  Although that was quite difficult for the children in grades 3 and 4, the students in grades 5 and 6 were very eager to try to use English.  All of the students cooperated very well and listened carefully when we explained the true meaning of Christmas.  When we asked them questions, we could tell that they understood the meaning well.
