LHM Thailand Team Visit LHM Headquarters

After their week helping with the Vacation Bible School at Brookfield Lutheran Church in Brookfield, Wisconsin, on Monday, July 20 the Lutheran Hour Ministries Thailand (LHMT) team traveled to St. Louis, Missouri.  A couple from Brookfield Lutheran Church, Bob and Judy Fischer, were kind enough to drive the team to St. Louis.

During their time in St. Louis the team stayed in the home of Mrs. Gunya Na Thalang, the Asia Regional Director for Lutheran Hour Ministries.

On Tuesday, July 21, the team were honored to visit the Lutheran Hour Ministries headquarters.  They met the international staff and had time to visit with them.  Then they did a short presentation and sang a Thai song during the All-Staff meeting.

At the end of the morning the LHM Thailand director was interviewed for a segment to be aired during the Lutheran Hour radio program.  During the interview the director was able to give an overview of the Thailand ministry and to explain the four radio programs that are used for outreach among Thai people.

The LHMT team had lunch with the international staff when they especially enjoyed having time to talk with individuals who have visited the Thailand ministry center in the past.

After lunch the LHMT team had a tour of the headquarters building.

We are very grateful to Dr. Douglas Rutt, International Ministries Director, for arranging for our team to visit the LHM headquarters.  This was a special opportunity for the LHMT staff to better understand the worldwide scope of Lutheran Hour Ministries.

Because Mr. Kurt Buchholz, President and CEO of Lutheran Hour Ministries, was outside the headquarters all day on Tuesday, the LHMT director and staff returned to the headquarters on Thursday, July 23, to meet with him in his office.
