Mrs. Monta Ekwanit Denow, the director of Lutheran Hour Ministries Thailand (LHMT) joined a meeting with Rev. Ted Na Thalang, the chairman of the Thailand Concordia Lutheran Church (TCLC), and other TCLC leadership committee members when they hosted two special guests.  As the TCLC leadership committee secretary, the LHMT director gives some of her time in helping the TCLC.  Rev. Dr. Robert Bugbee, president of the Lutheran Church-Canada (LCC), and Rev. Dr. Leonardo Neitzel, head of Mission and Social Ministry for the LCC were in Bangkok for two days of meetings to build a closer working relationship between TCLC and LCC.  Rev. Dr. Leonard Harms, retired mission chairman for the LCC, also was able to be in Bangkok for these meetings.

LCC has been involved in supporting some ministry programs with TCLC pastors in southern Thailand for a number of years.  Both church bodies hope to be able to continue working together in proclaiming the Gospel to Thai people in Phang Nga Province and some surrounding areas.

The LHMT staff were able to join the meetings for the two morning devotions and a presentation by President Bugbee about what it means to be a true Lutheran.

Everyone who attended the meetings enjoyed getting to know each other personally and better understanding how the TCLC and the LCC can communicate and partner in ministry more effectively.

Please pray that the Holy Spirit will guide these church leaders as they look for the best ways to join hands in reaching out to unbelievers in southern Thailand.
