The 2014 Christmas School Outreach Program Comes to and End

The last day for the Lutheran Hour Ministries Thailand (LHMT) Christmas school outreach program was December 23, 2014. Haeng Kwam Rak Nakhonnayok Church and Baan Suanaden Ministry in Nakhonnayok    Province and Prachristruamjai Church in Samutsakhon Province worked together to arrange 2 final school visits.

The LHMT team did 1 Christmas presentation in the morning and 1 presentation in the afternoon. From 10:00- 11:30 a.m. the team did a program for 92 students in grades 1-6 at Baan Dongkwaan School in Nakhonnayok Province. During the program the students participated in a number of fun activities and learned some new Christmas songs. They learned the true meaning of Christmas by watching the “Red Boots for Christmas” video and hearing an explanation from the LHMT staff. At the end of the program all of the students received gift packs that included Gospel tracts and Christian booklets.

In the afternoon the LHMT did their last Christmas presentation for this year at Anuban Pakpee School in Nakhonnayok Province. Although some of the students were very young and some were older, the LHMT team kept them all together because the group was quite small. From 1:00-2:30 p.m. the 82 students from grades 1-6 and 8-9 enthusiastically participated in the fun activities and Christmas songs. Even the older students enjoyed watching the “Red Boots for Christmas” video.

Our LHMT team always enjoys doing the Christmas School Outreach Program. It’s a lot of fun doing the activities and Christmas songs with the students and we’re thankful that we can so clearly share with them the true meaning of Christmas. Very few of the students have ever heard that Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus. They usually only know something about Santa Claus and reindeer.

We thank God for this opportunity to clearly proclaim the Gospel to so many students and teachers. We also thank God for keeping our team safe and healthy as we traveled so many days. We pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to work in the minds and hearts of each student and teacher who attended our presentations.
