More Students in Saraburi Province Enjoy the LHMT Christmas Program

The same four churches that organized the schedule for the Lutheran Hour Ministries Thailand (LHMT) team on December 16 and 17, 2014 also arranged for the team to visit schools in Saraburi Province on December 18 and 19, 2014.

On December 18 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at Ban Nongphakbung School the LHMT director and staff did the usual activities and Christmas songs for 112 students in grades 1-6 and showed the “Red Boots for Christmas” video.

On December 19 the four churches had arranged for the LHMT team to do 3 Christmas presentations at the same school.  At Nikomtubkwang Songkro 1 School 212 students in grades 1-3 enjoyed the activities and songs from 8:30-10:00 a.m.  Although the children were very young and the program was quite long, the students never lost interest and their energy level stayed high.  Only during the “Red Boots for Christmas” video were the students quiet.  They seemed to understand the meaning of the video very well.

Immediately following the program for grades 1-3, the students from grades 4-6 entered the room.  From 10:00-11:30 a.m. the LHMT team presented the same program for this group of 181 students.  These students were just as excited to participate in the activities and songs and also listened carefully to the “Red Boots for Christmas” video.

At the end of the tight schedule for the morning the LHMT team had a good break for lunch and some time to rest.  Then from 1:30-3:00 p.m. the LHMT team did the Christmas presentation for 150 students from grades 7-9 at Nikomtubkwang Songkro 1 School.  Because these students were older, the team did the activity using the letters from the word “Christmas” to tell the story about the Son of God coming to earth and being born as a baby.
